Visit to the Jaipur Literature Festival

The students of classes VI and VII got the exciting opportunity to visit the Jaipur Literature Festival, Asia’s leading literature event which has earned the reputation of being “The Greatest Literary Show on Earth”.

The students got the opportunity to mingle with and celebrate the best of national and international writings, readings and witnessed for themselves how  known and unknown people from all spheres of life mix together as equals.

Some of our students managed to get the autographs of some of the celebrated authors and it surely was an achievement for the young adults.

A day before the visit the students also got to interact with the esteemed author Ms. Anita Mani in the school premises as part of the Outreach Program of the prestigious Jaipur Literature Festival. Ms. Anita Mani , the founder-editor of ‘Child Friendly News’, a fortnightly newspaper, briefed the young minds about the journey of news reporting and how it has evolved over the years.

The session ended with a current affairs quiz won by Shreshth Agarwal of class VII.

The interaction with an esteemed author and  the visit to the Jaipur Literature Festival will surely have ignited the creative sparks in our talented school students. An exposure such as this will definitely be an added advantage in grooming their overall personality.
