Jingle bells and carols all over…the festive feeling was back amidst The Palace School family just when the special arrangements were made for the celebration of one of the most recognized fête all around the globe- “CHRISTMAS”..!!
The day is always celebrated culturally and religiously as it tends to ring out the old year and ring in the new with the birth of Jesus Christ..!!
On 23rd December, everyone gathered in high spirits and as per the routine and custom, assembly commenced with a prayer followed by a thought and news headlines..!!
Later, what caused stir amongst us all, was the live performance by “the heart to heart foundation” along with their musical band “Souled Outs”. They performed the Christmas Carols which was indeed music to the ears. They even showcased their talent by presenting a skit on the life of “Jesus Christ” and his love for humanity..!!
At the end, everyone flung themselves together into the most chanted Christmas chorus “Jingle bells” with the feeling of festivity and love for Santa Claus deep down..!!
Last but not the least, our mentor, Mrs Urvashi Warman, our Principal Madam ushered all of us with her words of wisdom..!!
It was World Disability Day on 3rd December ‘2014 and The Palace School being in inclusive education celebrated with Disha foundation ( an NGO resource centre for multiple disabilities) . Our Principal madam Mrs. Urvashi Warman was present to grace the occasion as the guest of honor with Disha’s founder member Ms.Kavouri , Director Ms. Kavita Apoorva Verma and assistant director Ms.Arpita Yadav. The Palace School’s resource centre team called ‘The Magic Pie’ participated with students of class III who also performed a dance number for the kids of Disha.
There were other schools like M.G.D Girls School, Sanskar School, M.S.M.S School etc..who also performed for the kids of Disha foundation. The whole celebration was filled with so much of love and joy in each one’s heart and it was over-whelming to see the kids of Disha to perform dance numbers and sing songs in front of such a huge audience .It was an amazing experience for the children of the Palace School to witness such a celebration and learn to be empathetic towards one another.
In the end there was a coffee interaction with all the directors , principals, special educators and then finally each one was invited to the signature van of Disha where our Principal madam also signed and congratulated Disha for doing such a wonderful job.
