Diwali Celebration

Diwali is the most important event in the Hindu spiritual calendar. The festival is not just celebrated in our homes but also substantially by the Palace School family with joy and gaiety. Being the part of the events calendar Deepavali was celebrated delightedly by all alike.

The festival of lights marks the triumph of good over evil, and is widely believed to mark the return of Lord Ram to Ayodhya after vanquishing the demon King Ravana. The celebration started with a warm welcome and in keeping with the tradition, our beloved Principal Madam offered puja to Lord Ganesha and Goddess Lakshmi. The students were enlightened with the significance of the 5 day festival highlighting the importance of each day presented with the help of enactment and oration. Students from all the grades participated to treat the audience with their wonderful performances.  One could also witness the beautiful rangoli decking up with floral garlands.

The occasion was used to highlight the significance of an eco-friendly and pollution free Diwali. Students tried to convey the message mentioning about the hazards that boisterous celebrations of Diwali poses to our environment.

Celebration came to an end with a formal address by Principal Madam who appreciated this endeavour of the students and encouraged them to celebrate every festival with the same spirit and enthusiasm. She also illuminated the thought of celebrating a Green Diwali and develop in each one of us the sensitivity towards nature.

Story Telling was also a part of the session which was conducted by the parents. Each day two or three parents volunteered and told stories in their own innovative, creative and en-captivating way which was thoroughly enjoyed by the children.
