SAMARPAN UTSAV

Princess Diya  Kumari together with Samarpan Foundation appeals to the citizens of Jaipur to join hands for a tree plantation drive.

Dear Parents

Over the years there has been a growing concern at the alarming drop in ground water level in the city of Jaipur. Everybody talks about doing things; discusses about the grim scenario; some take to the streets to voice their anger – yet little is done to counter this problem. Here is an opportunity for you to do something for your city. BE THE CHANGE YOU WISH TO SEE IN THE WORLD.

Let us take the first step towards replenishing the dwindling ground water resources by joining us in a world wide tree plantation drive. Help us to identify spaces which need to increase the green foliage; areas in the city which do not get much rain or where the ground water is known to have crossed the dangerously low level mark. Help us plant saplings in such areas. More trees. More rain. More ground water. This is the first step. In the next step we shall move towards minimizing wastage of rain water and maximizing recharge of ground water.

If you cannot adopt a patch of land to nurture the saplings, atleast plant one sapling per member of your family and look after them till they become trees.

A JOURNEY OF THOUSAND MILES BEGINS WITH A SINGLE STEP. Let us all take this first step towards making our environment a better place to live in. Help plant saplings and nurture them.

We would be very happy if you keep us informed about the number of plantations you have undertaken. For more information, enquiries and reports about your plantation kindly email jaipur@samarpanfoundation.org

Thankyou for your support.

From the Desk of the Founder

I’m very happy to see that The Palace School has started its own blog. I think its an excellent platform to express ones views and also to showcase the talent of our children. I hope to see the children of our school become an active part of the blog. Parents and well-wishers can easily follow the school activities and also share their opinions and feelings with us.

In this age, wherein personal interactions between parents and teachers is not possible at intervals, this blog will definitely help to bridge the gap.

Khalil Gibran said, “Your children are not your children. They are the sons and daughters of life’s longing for itself. They come through you but not from you. And though they are with you, yet they belong not to you.
You may give them your love but not your thoughts.
For they have their own thoughts.
You may house their bodies but not their souls . For their souls dwell in the house of tomorrow, which you cannot visit, not even in your dreams. You may strive to be like them, but seek not to make them like you.
For life goes not backward, nor tarries with yesterday ——”

I congratulate the entire team involved in bringing out the Blog and look forward to see the parents getting benefited with the school Blog.
